2018 Atlas vs 2017 Highlander Interior Cargo Space
When it comes to engine power and fun-to-drive feel, the 2018 Atlas outruns the 2017 Highlander. Both SUVs come with a standard four-cylinder engine, but the Atlas engine puts down 50 more horsepower than the Highlander, and also offers up quite a bit more in torque. With that comes a quicker take-off and a more confident acceleration, adding a little more VW style to every drive.
Inside of the 2018 Atlas, you'll also notice a lot of cargo room and passenger space. Seating for up to seven passengers and folding rear seats don't mean the same thing between the Highlander and the Atlas. The Volkswagen SUV comes in with nearly 13 extra cubic feet of maximum cargo space, making it easier to pack up and hit the road.
