Volkswagen I.D. CROZZ Concept Design and Features

New concepts are a great way to take a look into the future of automobiles. The auto show season usually means the debut of a variety of new concepts. Volkswagen has revealed one of their new crossover concept models. The 2018 Volkswagen I.D. CROZZ concept design and features five an indication of the direction Volkswagen will be taking with the future of their model lineup.

Volkswagen Electric Crossover Concept

The I.D. CROZZ concept will be one of many future Volkswagen electric vehicles. Volkswagen plans to produce at least 15 electric models by 2025. Volkswagen is hoping to debut the I.D. CROZZ by 2022.

The newest Volkswagen concept utilizes an impressive futuristic design. The interior of the I.D. BUZZ concept uses and “Open Space” design. This open concept interior helps create a spacious cabin with a lounge-like setup.

The I.D. CROZZ concept offers Volkswagen’s I.D. Pilot self-driving system. I.D. Pilot uses four laser scanners along with ultrasonic sensors, radar, side view cameras a front camera.

Powering the I.D. CROZZ concept will be two electric motors paired with an 83-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The front electric motor produces 101 horsepower, while the rear and primary electric motor adds 201 horsepower. The net system produces 302 horsepower. Volkswagen projects the range of the crossover to be up to 300 miles. The battery can be charged to 80 percent in 30 minutes when hooked up to a 150 kWh charger.
